EMILIA BATANIUC
Kundalini Yoga
My name is Emilia & I have spent my lifetime gathering embodied wisdom, across countries and cultures, of healing, human nature, and the mind-body connection.
Since 2011 I have practiced various yoga styles, and in 2019 I dedicated my full attention to studying Kundalini Yoga at Karam Kriya School, recognized by Yoga Alliance teaching and sharing practices with individuals and communities across the UK, Italy, Moldova, Spain, and Greece. I taught classes on HealthifyMe one of the biggest health platform in India with 25+ Million users and with groups of national police women in Moldova.
Alongside offering lifestyle consultations, I have practice & specifically focuses on how restlessness and traumas manifest in the physical body. I believe that we have all the resources available to feel good and healthy and that it is never too late to bring a positive change in one’s lifestyle -coming to this realization myself after years of working in technology companies Google and Apple, and living in busy cities, I decided to dedicate myself in sharing the knowledge and serve others instead.
So What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga was first introduced to the western world in the late 70’s by Yogi Bhajan and it is a Yoga that is a combination of breath, movement and sound. It derives from the Sanskrit word Kundal, which translates to “coiled energy”.
The idea is that we all have energy gathered at the base of our spine and, through the practice of Kundalini, we bring that energy up our spine through the seven chakras, and out the crown of our head.
“The process of growth through Kundalini Yoga is a natural unfolding of your own nature,” Yogi Bhajan has said. “Like a snake, you will need to shed old skins to be more of who you are.” The ultimate goal of Kundalini is to increase your self-awareness by silencing your mind and unblocking your chakras so that your vital energy can flow freely.
So what are the health benefits of Kundalini Yoga?
Well Kundalini has lots of health benefits from strength building, improvement of mood, lower blood pressure and heart rate, enhance memory and focus to boosting your metabolism & digestive system and so much more.
Kundalini yoga comprise of 3 parts: an opening chant followed by a brief warm-up for you spine and a closing meditation or song.
